Imagine an evening filled with laughter, connection, and the joy of giving back at the historic Muttontown Club. Join your neighbors for live music, delicious hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, and inspiring stories from families who have benefited from Jericho Cares. Your attendance at the 1st Annual Jericho Cares Cocktail Party is about more than just having a wonderful night out—it directly supports those in need within our community. Let’s come together at this iconic venue and make a difference, one family and one cocktail at a time!

This event would not be possible without the help of Power.
Power Home Remodeling Group is a family-owned business that began in 1992 in Chester, Pennsylvania, and has since expanded across the country. In 2011, they began offering roofing, windows, siding, and doors on Long Island, and today, they are proud to be the largest exterior home remodeling company in the region. Their success is built on a strong investment in their employees, providing training in leadership, personal development, and ethical sales and service. This commitment has not only fueled their growth but has also fostered a culture of excellence within their team. Beyond their dedication to quality work and the Power family, they are deeply committed to giving back to the communities they serve. As part of this mission, Jericho Cares was selected by Chris Geslani and his family to be the first recipient of the Power for Good grant program, a Long Island charity initiative designed to support and uplift local communities. They are proud to host the 1st Annual Jericho Cares Cocktail Party.

Jericho Cares will be honoring:

The Geslani Family
Chris and Paula Geslani have been proud residents of the Jericho community since 2015, along with their sons, Jonathan and Bodhi. Bodhi graduated from Jericho High School in 2024 and is now attending Northeastern University, where he is studying computer science and music technology, while Jonathan is currently working for Stream Innovations, a company that does the financing for Power customers nationwide.
Paula has been involved with Jericho Cares since its inception, initially volunteering by bringing food and bagels to homeless families staying in Jericho motels. Over time, this became a family Friday night tradition, with the Geslanis regularly packaging bagels and delivering food for those in need. As Jericho Cares expanded, Paula’s involvement grew—she volunteered weekly to assemble and distribute care packages for struggling families across Long Island.
Seeing the genuine gratitude of these families and the impact of their efforts deeply moved Chris. So, when he was asked—as Vice President of Sales for Power—to select an organization for the Power for Good Grant, the choice was clear. As a family, the Geslanis unanimously decided that Jericho Cares would be the recipient, ensuring continued support for their community.

Bob Hoffman

Bob Hoffman started teaching social studies at Jericho High in 1966, after graduating from Union College and receiving a Master's Degree from SUNY at Albany. Teaching American history and economics for a few years, Bob created new courses in Leadership, Exploring Childhood, and initiated the first Future Studies program east of the Mississippi. He added the AP Psychology course to the Jericho curriculum. Bob was an adjunct professor at Brooklyn College and a consultant to many schools on LI and throughout the country on future trends in education. The Hoffmans have lived in Jericho for 55 years.

Bob was instrumental in starting the school's 5K race benefiting the Marty Lyons Foundation for 14 years. He also inaugurated the senior citizen's prom and was one of the founders of the Jericho Hall of Fame, honoring outstanding students for the past 33 years. His greatest accomplishment at Jericho was marrying his fellow teacher, Dolores. Their son, Chris, graduated from Jericho.

After retiring in 2000, Bob found numerous ways of keeping busy. He has been a member of the Jericho/Brookville Lions Club for 35 years. As a volunteer in the club, Bob delivered corneas from local airports to health facilities, visited elementary schools testing students' eyesight, as well as helping families in need with food in the area. It was while taking his daily walk that he met Fran O'Connor, founder of Jericho Cares. Bob suggested that Jericho Cares deliver food and other essentials to residents in need at a Jericho motel. Thus, developed a kindred relationship between Bob and Jericho Cares.
