Your attendance at the 2nd Annual Jericho Cares Cocktail Party is about more than just having a wonderful night out—it directly supports those in need within our community. Jericho Cares will be honoring:

Linda Blanchfield (Linda Lasagna)

After retiring from teaching for 29 years at Robbins Lane Elementary School in Syosset, Linda wasn't sure how she would fill her time. Having 2 children and 4 grandchildren on Long Island, she knew they had their own lives and she needed to fulfill the void of giving to others all those years. Linda began volunteering at Cohen's Children's Medical Center twice weekly through Sunrise Association, an organization for children with cancer. Covid hit which closed that program.

Watching the Today Show one morning, Linda became aware of a small group of people who began making lasagnas for their neighbors in need. She loves to cook, so she began to volunteer with the Lasagna Love program. Linda reached out to the local organizer of the program and the need snowballed into her becoming aware of a new organization called Jericho Cares! Linda now has 35 dedicated volunteers across Long Island who she reaches out to weekly to make homemade meals (lasagna, baked ziti, meatloaf, mac and cheese, chicken, and vegetables, etc.). The meals are fully cooked, brought to her house, and distributed by Jericho Cares to the local homeless shelter residents.

Linda is also back at Cohen's helping sick children pass the time waiting for procedures and appointments, and she manages the weekly meals - She has fulfilled her void!!

Amanda Bicofsky Greenfield

Amanda Bicofsky Greenfield, along with her husband Seth and their two daughters, Lily and Sydney, has been a proud resident of the Jericho community since 2018. Amanda first discovered Jericho Cares in 2020 and was deeply inspired by the meaningful work Fran and the organization were doing to support local families. She immediately knew she wanted to become more involved.

What began as a simple desire to help quickly grew into a family passion project spanning three generations. From volunteering at food donation events hosted at her family’s ShopRite supermarkets, to assembling Mother’s Day gift bags for deserving local mothers, to participating annually in the Thanksgiving food distribution, supporting Jericho Cares has become a cherished family commitment.

Professionally, Amanda serves as Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships and Strategy at News Corp, a global diversified media company spanning news and information services, book publishing, and digital real estate. During her tenure, she has led many of the company’s most significant global AI licensing deals and strategic partnerships, while helping to foster innovation across News Corp’s worldwide businesses.

Previously, Amanda was a Vice President at LUMA Partners, where she advised digital media clients on buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions as well as venture capital investments. Earlier in her career, she held roles at GCA Savvian and Barclays Capital.

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
